Out of Breath... whew!

We are on our flight to Atlanta...barely! We had to literally sprint across 3 terminals, re-checkin, and go to security again but we all made it on the flight just as they announced final boarding call.

It has been a really long day of travel after our taxi drivers in North Africa got turned around and we drove down any interstate exit ramp the wrong way and did a U-turn in the middle of the highway! Fun times. Next we went to the wrong terminal there and got on just in time for that flight too. In North Africa you have to go through 3 security areas and everyone single person gets a pat down. Guess we should feel good about that though and not complain. Another cool fact is that we were probably on the safest flight we could be because the prince of our North African country was traveling in first class with all his entourage and bodyguards.

Please continue to read this blog as we will be adding final thoughts, pictures and maybe some video in the coming days as we process all we experienced.

Thanks for your support and comments - they really meant a lot to us.

Welcome back ya'll! I've read all of these great blogs and love the pictures! What an amazing journey, and how cool that God was glorified in everything you did and every new friendship you made! You have planted seeds that will be growing for a long time, most of which you probably won't ever see the product of until you get to Heaven, but the Lord will and He will know you had a part in bringing one more person to Christ.

I think the hardest part for everyone (as those of us know who have been on mission trips) will be the next 2 weeks.... trying to process it all, not being around your team everyday (or your new friends in N. Africa), getting back to your jobs and real life etc. This is the easiest time though for the enemy to "steal and kill and destroy", so I will be praying against that for each of you. But, as it says in Exodus, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.... the Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

So be still, continue to be "in the word" and stay firm in your faith, and you will be equipped to handle any darkness that comes your way. I'm so glad you're home safe and that your mission was successful!

(David and John, looking forward to catching up with ya'll soon and seeing more pix...proud of you both.)

Many blessings,
Carolyn
